S T E P H A N T H E L E N : G U I T A R
Stephan is a US born musician, composer and mathematician with a PHD in mathematics
(University of Zürich, 1990). He was classically trained and attended several
GUITAR CRAFT courses with ROBERT FRIPP in the late 80s/early 90s. Band projects include
LICENSE TO CHILL (drum'n'bass band with drummer Andy Brugger), BROKEN SYMMETRY
(with Tommi Meier, Flo Götte and Adi Wiss), ROOT DOWN (with Co Streiff,
Peter Schärli and Irene Schweizer) and the ambient progrock band RADIO OSAKA.

Bernhard is a guitarist and a software developer. He uses a loop machine to expand
his musical vocabulary. Since 2008 he has been performimg regularly as a solo supporting act
for Nik Bärtsch's Ronin at the Exil club in Zürich. In 2004 he played at several
international festivals for loop music (USA, UK, Sweden, Japan and Australia) and in 2005,
he produced a three day festival for loop music (http://loopfestival.com) in Zürich.
He is a pioneer of the Thelevi-Percussion instrument and presents his research results
in interactive workshops and publishes them regularly on the website http://thelevi.net.

Christian is a performance and multimedia artist. He studied double bass at the University
of Arts in Bern and is a bass player and sampling artist who also plays cello and trombone.
He has played with many bands including BAND OF MEN, ELEAZZUS, ARKADAS,
JOHN TCHICHAI HOT CHANNELS und -QUARTETT, JOHN TCHICHAIS FREE FORM ORCHESTRA,
FAHRT ART TRIO, BROM, RADIO OSAKA and the FEDERLOS band.

Manuel studied drums at the University of Arts in Bern.
He is a member of several music
groups (AKKU quintet, Acousmatic Jug Band, Karsumpu, STEEO, Agora)
and has
participated in many interdisciplinary projects (e.g. Orchester Variaton, punkt null,
Rückenlage:Fliegen).
He composes music for his band AKKU quintet.
